The store will open at The Shops at Santa Anita in Los Angeles and will integrate shopping with entertainment, education, technology, and local community interaction. It will play a key role for the company in promoting the culture of Japanese Beauty (J-Beauty) in the market through its unique products and services. Maison KOSÉ store will be managed by KOSÉ's local subsidiary, KOSÉ America, Inc. There will also be a special area in the store dedicated to KOSÉ's global ambassador, Shohei Ohtani, and the passionate community of sports fans in Los Angeles.
Maison KOSÉ will amplify the beauty culture of Japan through hospitality, unique products, services, and entertainment.
1. Products: The store will take a cross-branded approach to skincare, makeup and hair care offering unique products from Japan that will help consumers with their individual beauty and grooming needs. Brands will include DECORTÉ and SEKKISEI that embody the best of Japanese Beauty and beloved by consumers around the world.
2. Expertise: Beauty consultants will be on hand to offer solutions tailored to each customer and their skin's individual needs. They will help guide the journey through the store and elevate the Maison KOSÉ experience.
3. Entertainment: Fun activities will be offered throughout the store including a makeup experience that explores the art of self-expression with SminkArt from Japan, a face paint that is upcycled out of cosmetics that are past their prime. There will also be a skin diagnostic machine. And there will be a gift experience that allows customers to print customized text on products and ribbons to make the perfect gift presentation.
The Shohei Ohtani Fan Experience
Maison KOSÉ plans to offer an experience tied to Shohei Ohtani, baseball's shining star in the US and internationally. Ohtani took the world by storm and made sports history in December 2023 with the announcement of his move to the Los Angeles Dodgers , and. This store will appeal to the passionate baseball community in the LA area and visitors to the city.
1. Fan-tastic stadium make-up: Children and adults can enjoy a makeover to show their team spirit and excitement. In addition to eyeshadow colors, other makeup accents will be available that feature the jersey number and ball motifs. Offers a fun family and/or friends experience with makeup that will look great at the baseball game.
2. Upcycled Hand Fan Art: Extends the SminkArt experience with an opportunity for customers to paint hand fans with the upcycled pigments. A perfect item to bring to the baseball stadium to keep cool.
3. #HealingMeTime: A personalized skincare experience designed to help reinvigorate and heal tired skin that has been exposed to the strong ultraviolet rays of Los Angeles¬¬ while watching baseball games or participating in other outdoor activities. Customers will have the opportunity to receive a 3D image of their face scanned by a skin diagnostic machine. They will also receive a recommended skincare regimen and skincare samples based on the diagnosis.
A space will be designed in the store where visitors can engage with Shohei Ohtani via unique displays and visual merchandising. This section will also feature memorabilia from Ohtani including autographed balls and other goods. For a limited period, a special Pop-Up store is planned.
